Chuffed Ange Postecoglou reminds Celtic where they've come from and waxes lyrical over 'outstanding' star turn

Delighted Ange Postecoglou waxed lyrical about star man James Forrest as he saluted the team ethos behind their ongoing title charge.

The Scotland international was back to his best and netted for a 13th consecutive season in the Scottish Premiership en route to a 3-1 win over Livingston.

And his 56-year-old boss was delighted with his side's display in the convincing victory that keeps them three points clear of Rangers.

The Australian lauded the gritty nature of the team effort that banished a 15-year wait for a result in West Lothian.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Postecoglou said: "Yeah, very pleasing, We kind of know it's a difficult place to come and win, more importantly, I thought we played really well.

"We were dominant from the first minute, we still kept our patterns, created good chances, they were always a threat from set pieces but that was really the only threat.

"They are a big side so it always going to be a bit of a challenge for us but I thought we handled it well.

"The key is to approach each game, every challenge, in the same way, and that is what we do.

"We kind of knew, it was a difficult venue, difficult opponent, we still thought the answers lay in playing our football. A good energy, a good tempo."

Postecoglou was quick to talk up the collective in the wake of his side's endeavours but even he couldn't help but extol the virtues of Forrest.

The Celtic boss busted out the adjectives, as he also talked up the efforts of Tom Rogic and Anthony Ralston alongside the Scotland star.
