Watford Star Cucho Hernandez Scores Sensational Overhead Kick Against Arsenal, It's A Thing Of Beauty

Martin Odegaard linked up with Bukayo Saka inside the opening 10 minutes before firing past Ben Foster to send Arsenal into an early lead at the Emirates on Sunday.

However, Roy Hodgson’s men rallied back from Odegaard’s opener not long after, with Hernandez’s show-stealing equaliser pulling Watford back into the match.

Kiko Femenia picked out Hernandez with a sensational cross, with a helpless Ramsdale watching the Watford winger’s acrobatic finish landing in the back of the net.

Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker tweeted: “Oh wow! What a stunning equaliser from Cucho Hernandez.”

“Can’t do anything but applaud that goal by Cucho Hernandez,” another Twitter user wrote.

Someone else said: “Classic goal by Cucho Hernandez. Must be one of the goals of the season. Go Watford!”

A fourth posted: “Stop everything and go find a clip of Cucho Hernandez’s goal against Arsenal. My. My.”

And a fifth fan added: “On Manchester derby day… Cucho Hernandez has scored a goal [vs] Arsenal that reminds us of [the] Wayne Rooney goal [vs Manchester] City. Unbelievable goal.”

Mikel Arteta’s men fought back before half-time to restore their advantage, with Saka adding his name to the scoresheet with a clinical finish.

Watford midfielder Tom Cleverley lost possession of the ball outside of his box after pressure from Saka, who then played the ball to Alexandre Lacazette.

Lacazette flicked the ball towards an onrushing Saka, whose sensational first-time strike beat a helpless Foster.

Arsenal lead Watford 2-1 going into half-time at the Emirates.
