Christian Horner's wife Geri 'frustrated' as F1 boss fights to keep job amid row

Christian Horner, the boss of Red Bull's Formula 1 team, is working hard to keep his job. as team principal - and wife Geri is 'frustrated' by a new development.

The 50-year-old was cleared of inappropriate behaviour following an internal investigation in the build-up to the Bahrain Grand Prix last week after allegations from a female employee. However, messages allegedly sent between Horner and a member of staff at the team were leaked just 24 hours after he had been handed a reprieve.

But then, messages that were supposed to be private between Horner and someone else at Red Bull got out. This happened just a day after he was told everything was okay.

These leaks have made people look even closer at Horner's job. But he says he will stay in his job after Red Bull did really well in the first race of the season.

Horner has always said he didn't do anything wrong. His wife, Geri, was with him at the race to show she supports him, reports the Mirror.

And it has been revealed that Geri has been left 'frustrated' after learning that her husband's accuser is still in place at Red Bull and, therefore, still in touch with Horner. It's claimed Geri has made it clear that she wants the employee 'out of the picture'.

A source told The Sun: "It's frustrating for everyone and ridiculous to try to maintain business as usual in the circumstances. Something has to give."

Meanwhile, a F1 trade magazine is set to publish a 19-page investigation into the situation involving Christian Horner. The article will also detail the power struggle at the top of the team for its 5,000 readers.

However, sources close to Horner have dismissed the piece as 'full of inaccuracies'.
