Christian Eriksen explains how Erik ten Hag convinced him to join Manchester United

Christian Eriksen has revealed that Erik ten Hag was 'very' influential in his decision to join Manchester United and believes his style of play will fit well into the Dutchman's side.

United made Eriksen their second signing of the summer when they secured the in-demand playmaker on a free transfer. Though returning to England was never a part of his plan before the incident, the 31-year-old is happy to be a United player.

Eriksen then went on to detail how Ten Hag convinced him to choose United despite interest from other clubs. "Very," he replied when asked how important the manager was in his decision. "I want to come here to play football, I don’t come here just for the logo itself, I want to come here and play.

"Obviously to speak with the manager and hear his ideas and have conversations with him on the football terms was great
