Chris Sutton reignites Todd Cantwell feud as Rangers star ranked beside Kane and Ronaldo on ultimate list of shame

Chris Sutton has brought his feud with Todd Cantwell back into the ether as he ranked the Rangers star as one of his top five DIVERS.

Celtic hero Sutton hasn't hid his feelings about the Ibrox playmaker in the past and Cantwell branded him an 'attention seeker' back in October. The Record Sport columnist then unleashed on Cantwell, saying he's 'away with the fairies' and taking aim at his 'bang average career' and his antics on TikTok. The feud has since been shelved but it resurfaced on the Daily Mail's It's All Kicking Off podcast on Tuesday when Sutton was asked to name the biggest diver in football.

He said at the time: “I should say Todd Cantwell as well, but I’m not going down that petty route...” But a later tweet from Sutton named and shamed Cantwell alongside the likes of Harry Kane and Cristiano Ronaldo as one of his top 5 'divers' in the sport. Sutton wrote: "Top 5 divers ever…name yours?? 1. Harry Kane 2. Bruno Fernandes 3. Ronaldo 4. Grealish 5. Cantwell"

Speaking back in October, after the Rangers star directly called him out, Sutton said: “You know, he’s had another sort of pop this week. The thing I don’t understand, I genuinely don’t understand, is that there is that old adage in football of ‘do your talking on the pitch’.

“I think at this moment in time, he’s away with the fairies! I really do. The sort of frustrating thing is that for someone who to date has had a bang average career, he doesn’t half have a high opinion of himself. The truth is he's he’s better known for his social media presence, being on TikTok, than he is for what he’s done on the pitch. If I was him, I’d want to address that. He needs to focus on his football.”
