Chris Sutton in smirking Rangers trophy one liner as Ally McCoist birthday wind up leaves open goal for Celtic hero

Celtic legend Chris Sutton took a cheeky dig at Rangers as he was presented with a birthday cake live on BT - that was covered with Ally McCoist's face.

Sutton and the Rangers hero have become sparring partners over the years with the Glasgow rivalry sparking some heated and hilarious debates between the pair, but his fellow pundits on BT Sport's results programme Score couldn't resist the chance to noise up the Parkhead fan favourite on his 50th birthday. Having lost out on the pundit of the year award to McCoist, Robbie Savage handed Sutton a cake covered with a laughing faces of the former Ibrox striker and boss.

Host Jules Breach laughed after Savage presented the former Celtic star with the cake : "We did that for a reason because you were also nominated for Pundit of the Year but Ally beat you to it." That opened the door for Sutton to take a dig at the Light Blues, quipping: "It's nice to see someone associated with Rangers win something."

Breach responded: "Make a wish Chris, maybe wish for pundit of the year award next year?" Sutton added: "No, I hope Robbie wins it next year. It would be nice for him to win something."
