Chris Mueller sets Hibs goals target as he admits relief at breaking duck against Arbroath

Chris Mueller is confident the goals will start to flow now he’s broken his duck for Hibs.

The American put the seal on Sunday’s 3-1 Scottish Cup victory at Arbroath when he bundled home Chris Cadden’s cross in the 87th minute after climbing off the bench.

It was his first strike in Scottish football in his seventh appearance for Shaun Maloney ’s side.

But former Orlando City forward Mueller is confident it can be the first of many after settling into his new home.

He said: “It feels really good to score my first goal.

“I’ve felt more and more comfortable with each game I have played for Hibs so it feels really good to get on the scoresheet and most importantly help the team get a good win.

“There was a nice little sequence of play down the left-hand side. The ball got switched over to Cadds who made a great run in behind as he does so many times.
