Chocolate shop and café to welcome Dragons' Den star Steven Bartlett as an intern for a day

A chocolate shop and café in Greater Manchester is set to get a famous intern for a day.

Dragons' Den star Steven Bartlett will join staff at The Chocolate Café in Ramsbottom after the business came out on top in a competition.

The company shared a 30-second video on TikTok detailing how the Social Chain co-founder could help step the business up to the next level.

The Chocolate Café has also received a £5,000 cash grant through the competition which was run by eBay.

Philip Hargreaves, who owns The Chocolate Café in Ramsbottom, submitted a video detailing the company's growth and its plans to become the UK’s fastest growing chocolate brand.

Mr Hargreaves said: "We’re so excited to have Steven come to our premises in Ramsbottom.

"I have been a long-time listener of his podcasts ‘Diary of a CEO’ and admire all of Steven’s achievements which were done at such a young age.

"We are going to get him involved in all parts of the business, even making some chocolate. And hopefully he can share some of his experience and wisdom which will take our business to the next level."

Mr Bartlett added: "I can’t wait to get stuck in with a new small business, I’m sure I’ve got lots to learn and I’m excited to be involved in inspiring and educating the next generation of entrepreneurial talent."

The Chocolate Café was established in 2008 and was bought by Mr Hargreaves in 2019.

The Perfect Gift Co in Leeds was also named as a winner.
