Atalanta are reportedly seeking a partnership with Chelsea if Stephen Pagliuca's bid to buy the club is successful, the American along with a group of other investors acquired a 55% stake in the Serie A club earlier this year.

It had previously been suggested that Pagliuca would have to sell his shares in Atalanta before moving forward with his proposed purchase of Chelsea. However, the Italian club appear to be excited at the prospect of forming a relationship with the Premier League giants.

Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi has spoken to the Italian media regarding the current situation, and explained how a potential partnership would be on benefit to Atalanta.

“We hope that Pagliuca will be able to take Chelsea, we would have enormous advantages. Percassi said, as quoted by Tuttosport.
