Chelsea news: Tottenham join Ivan Perisic race as Blues register Matthijs de Ligt interest

Here is your Chelsea morning digest for Saturday, May 21.

Tottenham have joined Chelsea in the race for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, according to ESPN. The Croatian forward is set to leave the Nerazzurri as a free agent at the end of the season, with the Blues heavily linked with a move.

Inter are said to be continuing talks over a new deal with Perisic in a last-ditch attempt to keep the 33-year-old. Spurs joining the race could be a huge blow to Thomas Tuchel, with former boss Antonio Conte eyeing a reunion.

The agent of Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has spoken out on the player’s future amid rumours of a potential exit this summer. The Italian has just over one year remaining on his deal, casting doubt over his stay at the club.

Joao Santos told 1 Station Radio: “He still has one year on his contract with the Blues , the priority is renewal. At the moment, however, Chelsea cannot operate on the market for issues arising from the sale of Abramovich, so we will meet with the company to discuss it.”
