Chelsea injury news and expected return dates vs Wolves: Hudson-Odoi, Christensen, Barkley

Chelsea continued their poor form on Sunday with a 1-0 defeat to Everton, but, on a positive note, Thomas Tuchel's side didn't pick up any new injuries. The Blues face Wolves on Sunday and the German boss will be looking to utilise his squad to full effect and revitalise his side's fortunes.

Though no one was hurt at Goodison Park, there were still a number of players who failed to return to the matchday squad and Tuchel will be keen to get them back as soon as possible. With just four games left until the end of the season, the Chelsea boss will want as many players back with a top-four finish and an FA Cup final against Liverpool in his sights.

The out-of-contract defender was expected back for Sunday's loss to Everton. Andreas Christensen missed his third game in the row after sitting out the West Ham fixture due to stomach cramps and then the Manchester United draw.

Thomas Tuchel said prior to the game against the Toffees that Christensen had returned to training and could be available but it was not to be. With six clear days between the Everton game and the Wolves match, Christensen is likely to play some part.

Midfielder Ross Barkley was another one who was expected to make the trip to Goodison Park. The former Everton player also missed the Manchester United draw due to illness but returned to training days before Sunday's fixture. Due to the short turnaround between the two games, Barkley failed to make the matchday squad on Sunday but like Christensen, the week's break between fixtures should give him more than enough
