Thomas Tuchel and his Chelsea side are gearing up for the final game of a long and difficult season in the Premier League. While the Blues set the pace early on, they suffered a dip in form in the new year, tailing away from the league leaders.
The German coach has managed to confirm Champions League football for next season, as well as winning the European Super Cup and the Club World Cup. They will also count themselves slightly unfortunate, losing on penalties in the Carabao Cup final and the FA Cup final, both to Liverpool.
Discussing the season as a whole, Tuchel said: "The season is not yet finished, but, of course, I refuse to judge the season by two penalty shootouts. If we won penalty shootouts, it would be maybe one of the most successful seasons with four titles. Okay, lost two penalty shootouts, but that does not make it less impressive what effort the team put in and what success we installed to reach these finals."
