Chelsea: Boehly unlikely to bring Neymar to Stamford Bridge

Chelsea are not expected to make Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar one of their first signings as the Todd Boehly era gets underway at Stamford Bridge, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

A consortium led by Boehly completed their takeover of the west Londoners on Monday, with the deal to take the club off Roman Abramovich’s hands worth £4.25billion.

Mirror journalist Darren Lewis has claimed a move for Neymar could be on the cards as his relationship with Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel has come to the fore following the news that PSG are willing to let the Brazilian leave for the right price this summer.

Neymar has a sensational record from his time under Tuchel’s stewardship in the French capital, with him racking up 51 goals and 32 assists in 67 appearances before the German was shown the door.

Although the attacker has told Canal+, via the Mirror, that he intends to remain with his current employers, it appears he could still be allowed to depart the Parc des Princes.
