Chelsea: Key boardroom figure's future 'in doubt' at Stamford Bridge
The future of Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is in doubt, says journalist Dean Jones.
The Blues have entered a new era following Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital’s takeover of the club, and that could have ramifications for those who were in charge during the previous regime like Granovskaia.
At the start of the month, German outlet Sport Bild claimed that Atletico Madrid sporting director Andrea Berta is in line to replace Roman Abramovich’s right-hand woman at Stamford Bridge.
They state that she has opted to step away from the club, though chairman Bruce Buck is expected to remain in west London.
If true, it is a development that manager Thomas Tuchel may not be too happy about after the German hinted that he wanted to continue working alongside the Chelsea director and technical and performance advisor Petr Cech.
“As you know, I was so happy with the structure that the club provides and the mentality Chelsea provides,” Tuchel was quoted as saying by The Telegraph back in April.

Jones has told GIVEMESPORT that a statement on Granovskaia’s future could be imminent, with it currently in doubt right now.
Speaking to GMS, the journalist said: “I’m expecting some clarity on her situation soon. I was told that there might even be a statement in the next week or so over Granovskaia’s role at Chelsea, so it’ll be an interesting one. Largely, I think she’s done a really good job at Chelsea, but there have been some failures.
