Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy is still suffering from an injury, which forced him to withdraw from international duty with Senegal, according to journalist Simon Phillips. The £52,000 per-week star missed Graham Potter’s first game in charge last week and Phillips reckons that he’s doubtful to face Crystal Palace when the Blues return to action next weekend.
Mendy has been ever-present for Chelsea in the Premier League, playing the full 90 minutes in each of their six league fixtures.
But the shotstopper suffered a knee injury late on in the draw with West Ham earlier this month, which forced him to sit out the Champions League ties with Dinamo Zagreb and RB Salzburg.
Mendy was at least on the bench in the opener, but he was left out entirely for the 1-1 draw with the Austrian outfit at Stamford Bridge in the Blues’ most recent outing.Read more on givemesport.com
