Chelsea: Potter now facing 'biggest challenge' at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea boss Graham Potter is preparing to face the ‘biggest challenge’ of his Stamford Bridge reign as he risks losing the dressing room by continuously rotating the squad, according to journalist Dean Jones.
Potter was appointed as the Blues’ head coach last month, following the sacking of Thomas Tuchel, and has made a promising start to his spell in west London.
Potter revealed that he was ‘delighted’ to seal a 2-0 Champions League win over AC Milan on Tuesday.
The victory at the San Siro resulted in the capital club moving to the top of Group E with just two fixtures, against Red Bull Salzburg and Dinamo Zagreb, to play.
Chelsea are still unbeaten since Potter moved into the dugout from Brighton & Hove Albion, having secured four wins from his opening five matches at the helm.
But the 47-year-old, who cost his new employers a world-record managerial compensation fee of £22million, has not been afraid to tinker with his starting line-up.
The likes of Reece James, Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were dropped to the bench for the 3-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend.

Jones understands that Potter has offered all members of the Chelsea squad a clean slate and, as a result, is keen to see all of his current options in action.
But the journalist has warned that some of the Blues' bigger stars could become frustrated if they regularly find themselves on the bench.
