Cheetham Hill shooting LIVE as police issue urgent appeal
A cordon is in place after a shooting in north Manchester. A shot - or shots - were fired on Ermington Drive in Cheetham Hill, on Friday afternoon (January 10), Greater Manchester Police (GMP) say.
The area, near the border with Salford, remains off while specialist officers conduct searches of the area following the incident, reported shortly after 1pm.
No one has been hurt and no arrests have been made, GMP said. The force says detectives as 'following several lines of enquiry to understand the circumstances'.
They are appealing for anyone with information or footage to come forward.

Unfortunately, it is not the first time that such incidents have occured on Ermington Drive.
In 2023, a man in his 20s was left seriously injured after being shot in the head in what was treated as a case of attempted murder.
WhIlst in 2018 a 21 year-old was left fighting for life after being shot twice through a closed front door.
No one has reported as being injured GMP say. No arrest have yet been made as part of the investigation
