Chatham Town take on Ramsgate in the Isthmian Premier Division on Tuesday night after Saturday’s 6-0 win over Hashtag United

Chatham Town got back to winning ways in style at the weekend but it’s straight back to work tonight.

Manager Kevin Hake was delighted with his side’s 6-0 win over Hashtag United - having lost successive games 2-1 - but quickly turned his focus to a big game at Ramsgate.

“It was a good day for the club,” said Chats boss Hake, ahead of the midweek Isthmian Premier clash.

“But it’s just another step on our journey. We enjoyed it, then got straight back to work to focus on Ramsgate.”

The thrashing of Hashtag left Chats third in the table and came after last Tuesday’s defeat at Billericay in the league and the narrow defeat to Buxton in the FA Cup.

Kofi Anokye-Boadi’s goal after four minutes got Chatham off to a good start against Hashtag at Parkside and Sam Sene-Richardson added a second before the interval.

Adam Leathers made it 3-0 after the break, Tope Fadahunsi made it four, Chaynie Burgin got the fifth and recent recruit Matty Macarthur completed the rout with a late penalty.

Isthmian Premier Division table;

Hake said: “It was a really good performance from the lads and I’m pleased with the way we went about our work.

“To score six goals and have six different players on the scoresheet shows the balance and togetherness we’ve got in the squad.

“We started well, kept our discipline, and were clinical when the chances came.

“Hashtag are a decent side who’ve been in good form so to perform like that against them says a lot about the character of this group.

“The fans were brilliant again,the noise and support make such a difference, and it’s something we never take for granted.”
