Chatham Town return to Isthmian Premier Division action on Tuesday night at home to Brentwood Town and host Chichester City on Saturday
Chatham Town resume their promotion challenge this week with two home games on the bounce.
A run to the last-16 of the FA Trophy and first round of the FA Cup means they’re playing catch-up in the league, with a visit from fellow promotion hopefuls Brentwood Town this Tuesday.
Chichester City are the visitors on Saturday as Kevin Hake’s side set about closing the gap on league leaders Folkestone Invicta.
Hake’s men are 19 points adrift of Folkestone but they’ve got four games in hand and are up for the challenge.
Hake said: “It's not over until it's over. Folkestone haven't won the League. It's January, isn't it? No one's won the League until they've won the League.
“They've got a good team, but it's not just about Folkestone. It's about what we can do. It's about what other teams can go and do as well.
“If it's got to be about the play-offs, it's got to be about the play-offs, but we'll be giving it a good go.
“We now know what our focus is on. We've gone deep into a lot of competitions. We've gone well in all of them. We've got a semi-final to look forward to (in the Kent Senior Cup) against Gillingham or Tonbridge and the League campaign to go and do. We've got to dust ourselves down.”
A ‘goal’ that wasn’t given left @ChathamTownFC frustrated but their manager was beaming with pride after his side’s historic cup run finally came to an end

Hake was speaking after their narrow defeat to Southend United in the FA Trophy, losing 1-0 on Saturday. They beat National League Carlisle United in the previous round - two brilliant occasions for the club.
The Bauvill Stadium was packed for the visit of Southend and Hake loved seeing so many fans backing his side.
