Chatham Town beat Hendon to earn their place in the Velocity Cup final where they will play Billericay Town – Kevin Hake’s men host Bognor Regis Town on Saturday

Chatham Town’s good form continued on Tuesday night as they booked their place in the Velocity Cup final - a trophy they won last year.

Chats got their hands on the silverware last season with a 2-1 win over Hashtag United and they will be back in Essex to defend their crown next month.

A 2-1 home win over Hendon in Tuesday night’s semi-final means they will now meet Isthmian Premier Division leaders Billericay Town in the final on Wednesday, April 9.

The win over Hendon - courtesy of two goals from Sam Sene-Richardson - took their winning run to four games after three successive league victories.

Chats boss Kevin Hake is looking forward to another final and another day out for their loyal followers.

Hake said: “Our good form continued with a win that takes us to the League Cup final two years in a row. I know it’s in Essex but the Chatham faithful will turn out in numbers as they always do.

“They were unbelievable on Tuesday night and didn’t stop singing all game.

“It’s lovely to see young and old supporters all mixing to create an unbelievable atmosphere that helped us get through to the final.”

We booked our spot in the Velocity Cup final last night — with Sam Sene-Richardson bagging a brace! ✌️

We will now look to retain the trophy when we take on @BTFC at Aveley on Wednesday 9 April.
