Charlotte Henrich from Canterbury defies odds to win European Under-18 400m title in Jerusalem

Canterbury schoolgirl Charlotte Henrich is the European Under-18 400m champion - and she still can’t believe it.

“We arrived and I was like, ‘What do I actually want to do here?’ I checked everyone’s times and at first it was, ‘OK, I’m going to try and get into the semi-finals’ and then I did that and it was, ‘OK, let’s
