Charlotte Flair admits not being proud of some of her WWE Title reigns

Charlotte Flair has given an honest review of her title reigns in WWE and admitted there are some runs she isn’t proud of.

Flair is set to defend the WWE SmackDown Women’s Title against Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania this weekend, making it the first pay-per-view defense of her SmackDown Championship since the infamous title exchange with Becky Lynch in October.

Speaking to Bleacher Report, the thirteen-time champion shared that she she’s not especially proud of all her runs as champion. Although she claims she must be doing something right to always be the talk of the wrestling world. 

There’s a lot of title runs I’m not proud of just because I didn’t do anything with it, but when you look at it, it’s multiple feuds with multiple women that I dropped the title to,” Flair said. “One of my favourite matches of all time was a main event on Raw where I dropped the title to Bayley in 2017. With where I’m at today, it’s not that they don’t like the good, they just don’t like the best. There’s a quote I look at, that’s not exactly it. But I must be doing something right to always be talked about: good, bad or indifferent.

The 35-year-old often has had to face up to criticism from fans over her constant reign at the top of WWE, where she’s rarely out of the title picture. The Queen has hit back at that negative train of thought and believes her longevity as a main eventer should be seen in a positive light.
