TV personality Charlotte Crosby has been defended by her fans after airing intimate footage of her giving birth on her new BBC show. Charlotte, 32, who first found fame on the MTV reality series Geordie Shore, has returned to TV with her brand new series Charlotte in Sunderland.

After announcing her pregnancy back in April 2022, the 10-part programme followed Charlotte's return to her home city of Sunderland as she navigated her new life as a first time mum. The series also showcased her relationship with her boyfriend Jake Ankers, 31, as well as her mum Letitia's devastating breast cancer diagnosis and the death of her beloved grandma Jean.

In the final episode of the series, which aired on March 1, raw footage of Charlotte giving birth to her daughter Alba Jean was aired. The reality TV star dubbed her pregnancy a 'miracle' after suffering an life-threatening ectopic pregnancy back in 2016 and fearing she might never be able to have children.
