Channel 5 airs terrifying moment shop workers are threatened with meat cleaver

Channel 5's Police Suspect No. 1 has captured the terrifying moment when two shop workers were threatened with violent weapons, leaving them in a state of fear.

The employees at the convenience store were left rattled after two men, one brandishing a meat cleaver and the other a kitchen knife, set out to make some quick money by violently robbing the shops.

Humberside Police were given the task of catching both culprits before they could "likely" strike again. In Grimsby, CCTV footage showed a man bursting into a busy shop armed with a meat cleaver.

Aware that he was on camera, he pulled his hood over his face to hide his identity, leaving DC Andy Taylor and DS Ryan Johnson to determine whether the suspect is a local resident.

As their investigations kick off, the officers emphasised the importance of securing the clothing worn by the criminal as they sought to identify their main suspect, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Meanwhile, in Hull, a bold thief made no attempt to hide his identity as he walked into a Post Office waving a large kitchen knife at the staff behind the counters.

The suspect, clearly visible on CCTV, was quickly identified by the police who initiated a search for him to prevent any further robberies in the area. However, they hit a snag when they discovered that the man in question did not have a fixed address.
