Chances of Manchester City & Fulham loanees making Bolton Wanderers transfer returns assessed

Bolton Wanderers have had three players on loan this season as Ian Evatt has used the market to add players from other clubs temporarily to his side.

Winger Xavier Amaechi arrived from Hamburg last summer in a deal which was extended in January to remain at Wanderers for the rest of the campaign.

And he was joined in January by Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford whose previous loan spell at fellow League One side Accrington Stanley was cut short.

Marlon Fossey also arrived from Fulham to play on the right hand side of defence as Wanderers switched to a back three to accomodate their January transfer signings better.

Wanderers have just seven games left of their season to go and still harbour slim hopes of being in the top six by the end of the campaign.

Already though, work will be under way behind the scenes at the University of Bolton Stadium about the summer transfer window as the squad is anticipated to see comings and goings.

Here, we take a look at the impact each of the three loanees have made at Wanderers and the likelihood of which ones perhaps have a greater chance than others at being back at the UniBol again next season.

James Trafford

The Manchester City loanee joined in the January transfer window and has become the club's first choice goalkeeper ever since he walked through the door.

The teenager has gone on to play 15 times at Wanderers since joining in mid-January, demoting Joel Dixon out of the team.

Speaking last month on his future, Trafford has admitted that he will not go back to City to play under-23s football again and will only head back to Pep Guardiola's side to compete
