Championship star makes huge Luton Town call Huddersfield Town and Nottingham Forest won't like

They may be the rank outsiders with the bookmakers and the team limping into the play-offs rather than bouncing in, but write off Luton Town's chances at your peril. That's the message from Bournemouth striker Kieffer Moore, a man who knows a thing or two about winning promotion to the Premier League.

Moore scored the winning goal last week against Nottingham Forest to ensure his Cherries side won promotion to the Premier League at the expense of Forest, who now join Sheffield United, Huddersfield Town and Luton in the shootout for the third and final promotion place.

Huddersfield start as favourites against Luton to progress to Wembley, and a meeting with either Forest or the Blades, but it is the Hatters who Moore believes are the danger side.

"I think it will be tight but I’m going for Luton," Moore said. "I know they are probably the outsiders but I fancy them.

"They’ve got a good squad mentally. I know a few of their players as well and, if they can really come together, which I’m sure they can, they’ve got every chance."

Luton boss Nathan Jones has already defied expectations this season, winning the EFL Manager of the Year award for his efforts in guiding the club to sixth in the league table.

Huddersfield will be hoping the history of surprise results in the play-offs doesn't continue, when they travel to Kenilworth Road on Friday night for the first leg of the play-offs.
