Champions Clare lead the way with 11 All-Star nominations

All-Ireland champions Clare lead the way with 14 nominations for the PwC Hurling All-Stars, with defeated finalists Cork picking up ten.

The Rebels stopped Limerick's drive for five at the semi-final stage but couldn't get over the line against a determined Banner outfit in the decider.

Eight counties are represented in total with the Treaty and fellow semi-finalists Kilkenny landing nine and four nominations each, respectively.

Leinster finalists Dublin have been recognised with two nominations, beaten by one by Antrim (three), while Wexford stalwarts Lee Chin and Rory O'Connor have also been recognised.

Waterford's two nominations mean that Tipperary are the only county to compete in the 2024 Munster Championship that have missed out.

Meanwhile, Shane O'Donnell (Clare), Darragh Fitzgibbon (Cork) and Limerick's Kyle Hayes will battle it out for the PwC GAA/GPA Hurler of the Year award.

O'Donnell was a revelation on his return from injury this summer, scoring in every round of the All-Ireland series, including 1-04 in their quarter-final triumph over the Yellowbellies.

Fitzgibbon was similarly impressive for the Rebels as a playmaker and scorer, with a particularly impressive showing against Limerick in an iconic Munster round- robin game at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

Hayes scored eight points from wing-back as his county won a record sixth Munster crown in a row before bowing out against Cork in the semis.

Players from the same three counties will also vie for the Young Hurler of the Year award, with Adam Hogan (Clare), Eoin Downey (Cork) and Cathal O'Neill (Limerick) getting the nod.

O'Neill and Fitzgibbon have been nominated at midfield, as has All-Ireland final man of the match Tony Kelly, meaning at least one of that trio will not win
