Ceola Bergin named SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division player of the month

Ceola Bergin's displays in June have earned her the SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division player of the month award.

The Wexford forward scored in each of her three league games, established herself in the starting line-up and also earned a place in the Ireland Women's Under-19 squad for the upcoming UEFA Women's Under-19 European Championships.

Wexford overcame Galway United, DLR Waves and Cork City last minth, with Bergin scoring in each of those victories to ensure her team continue climbing up the league table.

The 17-year-old topped the voting ahead of Athlone Town's Jesi Rossman and Shelbourne's Noelle Murray.

Bergin becomes the 10th different player of the month to represent Wexford in the league since 2011, with the club claiming the award on 14 occasions overall.
