It only seems like yesterday that the green and white ticker tape was fluttering around Parkhead as Celtic celebrated winning the Scottish Premiership.

But here we are just 53 days later and Ange Postecoglou will send out a team for the first time since they thrashed Motherwell 6-0 on that final day of the league campaign.

The SV Bad Erlach Stadium will be a little quieter than the east end of Glasgow was on May 14 but such games are essential if the Hoops want to be lifting that trophy again in 10 months time.

Celtic flew to Austria on Monday for a pre-season training camp and this is the first of three friendly matches with minnows SC Wiener Viktoria the opponents.

This could be a chance for Postecoglou to give some of his younger players a run out and stake a claim to be a part of the first team squad next season.

And fans will be hoping to catch a first glimpse of the new faces with Benjamin Siegrist and Alexandro Bernabei who join returning heroes Cameron Carter-Vickers and Jota who have returned on permanent deals after successful loans.

Celtic go straight into the Champions League group stage so don't have the pressure of those dreaded qualifiers but that doesn't mean pre-season will be any less intense, especially with Postecoglou's notoriously tough sessions.
