Celtic squad revealed as forgotten man unshackles Callum McGregor while 3 injury judgment calls loom

Celtic are under pressure to get a result against Motherwell and put pressure on Rangers in the Premiership title race.

And despite criticism of his side Brendan Rodgers will have some relief from injury problems beginning to ease for for the final run-in. Key men Alistair Johnston and Cameron Carter-Vickers are all back from injury and in the running to make an appearance at Fir Park - just when the Irishman needs to freshen up his side. Odin Thaigo Holm is also back in the running giving Rodgers the option to freshen up his engine room with Reo Hatate remaining sidelined.

Canadian international Johnston had been a mainstay at right-back before picking up a knock - with Anthony Ralston likely to come out of the starting line-up. Carter-Vickers has been a big miss at the heart of the defence during an injury-hampered campaign with summer recruits Maik Nawrocki and Gustaf Lagerbielke failing to fill the void left by the US international.

In the draw with Kilmarnock, Kyogo Furushashi and Adam Idah started as an attacking duo. However, Rodgers could turn to forgotten midfielder Tomoki Iwata to add steel to the midfield that struggled against Derek McInnes' side rather than go with an all-out attack.

Allowing Iwata to come into the side for his first appearance since December would allow Callum McGregor to roam more freely in midfield - with the Celtic skipper recently coming under criticism for his form. There are plenty of decisions to make on a day when Liel Abada is again not on the right frame of mind to feature.
