Celtic release new 'Origins' range with nod to Irish roots as fans fume over fifth top release of season

Celtic have released a FIFTH top of the season in a nod to their Irish Origins.

The Scottish champions gave fans a preview of what was coming on social media last night before dropping the range this morning with another jersey part of the collection alongside a training top, hoodie, training pants and a polo shirt. The tops will retail at £55 while a pair of jogging bottoms will set you back £48.

Another fan posted: Sorry @Celticfc, March is a tough time of the season to buy shirts. I tried, but couldn't get the deal over."

A further commented: "The usual fleecing fans again yet refused to spend money in transfer window." Matt O'Riley and Liam Scales both took part in the promotional video for the new gear. The Hoops have already dropped new home, away and third kits this season. An anniversary adidas shirt was also released to mark 120 years of Hoops.

The club wrote on their official website alongside the launch: "As a club famous for its proud Irish origins, Celtic FC are delighted to reveal our new 2023/24 adidas Irish Origins collection. This brand new and extended collection follows the phenomenal response to last year’s 135th anniversary Origins Kit, allowing supporters in Scotland, Ireland and beyond to celebrate our connections, past and present, with the Emerald Isle.
