Celtic kid Daniel Kelly offered new and improved deal after getting hands on Premiership trophy with Hoops
Celtic kid Daniel Kelly got his hands on the Scottish Premiership trophy on Saturday after helping the Hoops seal four-in-a-row.
And now the Hoops have offered the East Kilbride teen a new and improved four-year contract in a bid to keep him in Glasgow's East End.
Kelly’s contrtact expires at the turn of the year but boss Brendan Rodgers is determined to tie down one of the brightest young talents at the club, with Kelly able to speak to potential suitors from July when he enters the final six months of his contract.
The 18-year-old has enjoyed a fantastic breakthrough season with the first team, netting his first senior goal on his debut in a 7-1 win over Dundee at Celtic Park in February.
Since then, he has gone on to make a further three Premiership appearances against Hearts, Livingston and St Johnstone, as well as featuring in a 4-2 Scottish Cup win over Livi in March.
Celtic beat rivals Rangers to the title by eight points this term to retain their crown and Daniel was joined by his family for the trophy presentation after Saturday’s 3-2 triumph over St Mirren.
Daniel could make it a double if Celtic overcome Rangers in Saturday’s Scottish Cup final at Hampden.
