Celtic go tonto with SEVEN GOAL annihilation and dynamite Daniel Kelly arrives – 3 talking points

Scintillating Celtic mopped the floor with Dundee but a 7-1 trouncing wasn't enough to haul them top as Rangers refused to slip against Kilmarnock.

But results elsewhere couldn't stop Brendan Rodgers beaming from minute one to almost the last as he toasted seven different goalscorers on a night of sheer domination. And the widest smile was saved for 18-year-old Daniel Kelly who scored a stunner with his weaker right foot after the champions had netted six times in the first half to leave the Dark Blues dazed and confused with Adam Idah, Matt O'Riley, Daizen Maeda, Greg Taylor and captain Callum McGregor all getting in on the act.

Tony Docherty's side started with a bang and appeared keen to make their pre-match status as 18/1 underdogs appear foolhardy during an early blitz on the hosts' goal. The second half didn't play out at the same warp speed, however, Celtic remained large and in charge. Kelly's goal offered a galvanising effect and ushered a fresh wave of domination from Rodgers' side. O'Riley watched desperate defending deny him a brace before Luis Palma cracked the bar after shimmying onto his right foot
