Celtic fans spot Mateusz Bogusz private jet clue that has them convinced next signing is en route

Celtic fans are even more convinced that Mateusz Bogusz is on his way to Parkhead after eagle-eyed supporters clocked that a private jet from Los Angeles is set to arrive in Glasgow late tonight.

The Hoops are in advanced talks to sign the £8million-rated Poland international - who was on target in his side's 4-0 win over Colorado Rapids in the Leagues Cup semi final in the early hours of Thursday morning. Brendan Rodgers is keen to bolster his midfield options, and with personal terms not expected to be an issue, the Premiership champions now just need to agree a fee with the MLS club.

But fans on social media are speculating that the deal is all but done. Using the website FlightTracker, fans have shared details of a private jet that left Los Angeles International Airport at 6.35am (US Time) and is due to arrive at Glasgow Airport at 11.01pm. Should the move go through, then the 23-year-old would become Celtic's fifth signing of the window and could come in as a direct replacement for Matt O'Riley, who is closing in on a blockbuster switch to Brighton in the Premier League.

The Hoops transfer business is likely to go right up until the wire on August 30, with Rodgers still hoping to strengthen in key positions. Owen Beck and Auston Trusty have both been identified as potential targets to give competition to Greg Taylor at left-back, while the Parkhead giants have also been heavily linked with FC Lausanne-Sport winger Alvyn Sanches.
