Celtic fans hail transfer tsunami as worried Rangers punters fess up to signing fear - Hotline

Celtic fans are flying with wing hero Jota touching down at Parkhead to complete his transfer.

The Portuguese's arrival to seal a £6.5 million deal just a day after the £3.75 million capture of Argentine Alexandro Bernabei has supporters glowing. Jota was devastating for the champions last term on loan from Benfica and punters are thrilled he’s now here on a permanent agreement.

Alan Wilkinson, Denny, said: “That’s the key signing of the summer now done for Celtic. We need more, but he and Cameron Carter-Vickers were the ones we had to get. Fair play to the board. Robert McGinlay, Glasgow , added: “Phenomenal signing. I can’t believe we got him for that price. He’ll be worth treble that by the end of the year after the Champions League campaign". Tam Williamson, Lanarkshire, took an overall view and said: “It’s hard to believe that just 18 months ago Celtic were in crisis and Rangers were being tipped to dominate Scottish football.

Light Blues fan Frank McFerran, Carrickfergus, was in touch to say: “Celtic signed a defender from an Argentinian club for £3.75 million. Rangers would be looking at five players for that amount. What has happened to my team?”

However, Steven Riley, Port Glasgow, said: “The window has barely opened.
