Opinion: Celtic fans now have two big reasons to watch Norwich game

Any Celtic fans there weren’t planning to attend the Hoops’ last pre-season friendly against Norwich on Saturday might have changed their mind after some comments made by the Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou.

The Hoops boss, as reported by the Celtic Way, has confirmed that recent Celtic signings Aaron Mooy and Moritz Jenz will feature for the Bhoys in the game, as they have been training at Lennoxtown. Striker Giorgios Giakoumaks will also feature after missing a few games after his wife gave birth.

It is good news that Giakouamkis is back, and it would not be a shock to see him start the Norwich game, but the real big news is that the new signings are set to be involved.

The Jenz and Mooy update is a reason for fans to either attend the game or watch it on television, as it is probably the most interesting thing about the match, in all honesty.

Fans will want to see how the new Hoops duo fare in their first game for Celtic, and to see if either of the duo look will play well enough to feature for the Hoops in the first league game of the season against Aberdeen, which is just over a week away.

It will be interesting to see if Mooy and Jenz start the game for the Bhoys or come off the bench, as you imagine that neither player will feature for the entire 90 minutes as there will be plenty of changes as there always is in pre-season friendlies.

Still, if both Mooy and Jenz perform well they could make the Celtic squad for the game against Aberdeen, even though as it stands neither player seems likely to start for the Hoops in the first Premiership game of the season.
