Celtic fanatics pack out a Rangers 'clown show' as Hotline tipped off on the mega error no one else sees
Rangers face Athletic Bilbao in a mammoth Europa League quarter-final clash tomorrow night/tonight.
However, judging by the Hotline, you would barely know the game is on.
Instead, it’s the usual round of baiting, slagging and tit-for-tat commentary which has threatened to dwarf the clash between Barry Ferguson’s side and the Spaniards.
George Wilson’s comments on yesterday’s Hotline claiming the poor state of the Premiership was assisting Celtic’s run towards a Treble brought a feisty response.
Eddie Easson, Ballingry, said: “Once again the clown from West Sussex gets first dibs on the Hotline slaughtering Celtic.
“Celtic are so far ahead of Rangers and they don’t have to do anything because his mob are doing it for them.
“His team are in the quarters of a European trophy. Well done. Perhaps he didn’t notice the biggest exodus since Moses at Ibrox on Saturday.”
James Logan, Glasgow, added: “Another addition to the array of fans of Rangers who talk absolute mince has appeared. Stand up, George Wilson.
“According to him, winning games that enable you to qualify for the knockout stage of the Champions League is meaningless and Rangers would finish above Celtic in the league if they weren’t rubbish so often.”
At least there was some stuff about the game as Kenny McCartney, Bellshill, said: “Rangers have shown they are capable of these big nights and I am convinced they are going to dismiss the bad Ibrox form and turn on a big performance against Bilboa. Let’s face it, we are due one.”
