Celtic fan warning as Niall Horan concert clash sparks fears over travel chaos

Celtic fans have been issued with a travel warning ahead of their midweek Scottish Premiership clash against Dundee at Parkhead.

It comes from ScotRail with the fixture taking place on the same night as Irish singer and pop star Niall Horan at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow. The Hoops play in front of a sellout crowd with around 14,000 fans expected at the concert for the former One Direction member who is touring his chart-topping album from 2023, The Show.

Due to this, the travel firm has advised passengers to buy tickets in advance to avoid queues. A spokesperson for ScotRail said: "It's a busy one in Glasgow tomorrow (Wednesday, February 28) with Celtic Football Club playing Dundee Football Club at Celtic Park and Niall Horan is performing at the OVO Hydro. Avoid ticket queues by buying tickets in advance on the ScotRail app.” Horan was pictured clutching two Celtic tops when he headlined TRNSMT in Glasgow last summer.

And in 2019 he belted out Irish folk song and Celtic anthem The Fields of Athenry alongside Hoops-daft move star Martin Compston and ex Celtic striker Robbie Keane after Soccer Aid in 2019.
