Celtic anxiety weighing heavily but Rangers told THEY should be worrying as numbers crunched on Hotline

There's nothing like a title race to keep a Hotline bubbling.

Rangers and Celtic are fighting at the top with the next chapter of the Premiership story being written on Wednesday night. Brendan Rodgers’ side stayed within two points of the top with their last-gasp win over Motherwell boosting them before their clash with Dundee.

But Gary Stevenson, Newarthill, said: “Well done to Celtic for keeping the Premiership competitive on Sunday. The last thing Scottish football needs is an early submission. Plus it’s great to watch the Celtic fans boo their team for 90 minutes then celebrate in injury time as if they have won the Champions League.” John Bruce was on a similar theme and added: “Footage of the faces of the fans, and players, as they celebrated wildly at Celtic’s latest extra time game-winner against fourth bottom Motherwell told its own story. Relief rather than belief. Anxiety is in the air in the east end of Glasgow, but it’s blue skies over Ibrox as Rangers fans enjoy their journey with Philippe Clement. Since his arrival four months ago, his team has taken more league points than Brendan Rodgers’ side, won a trophy, kept his team in Europe and taken them to the top of the league, and in some style. Faith rather than fear.”

Stephen Johnstone, Ardentinny, said: “Rodgers gets out of jail with two goals in added time to claim three points and put pressure on league leaders Rangers who had a five-star performance against Hearts. Too many draws for Celtic will cost them the tile. If Rodgers’ under-achieving so-called superstars don’t win all remaining games, then the pressure is on the board and he could be gone before his first year of his three year contract.”
