Celtic and Rangers handed TV fixture shakeup as Sky Sports announce second round of live picks
Sky Sports have announced their second round of TV picks for the 2023/24 Premiership season with three more games chosen by the national broadcaster.
Sky continue to have exclusive rights to the Premiership as part of the deal struck up with the SPFL and had already selected both of the Glasgow rivals' opening day fixtures. Celtic vs Ross County at lunchtime on opening day and Kilmarnock vs Rangers, which kicks off later at 5.15pm, were both selected. Aberdeen vs Celtic on Sunday August 13 is the sole pick for matchweek two while the Old Firm Derby on September 3 was picked up right away.
And now Rangers' away games with Ross County and St Johnstone have been picked for the box, as has Celtic's trip to Livingston on September 23. It means the first seven games picked by Sky all feature one of Celtic or Rangers with neither Edinburgh club picked for TV coverage until September 30 at the latest.
