CCTV image released after attempted burglary

A CCTV image has been released by police investigating an attempted burglary in Heywood, Rochdale. Anyone who recognises the man is being urged by detectives to come forward as part of the inquiry.

Police said they want to speak to the man pictured in connection with an attempted break-in at a property on Lenton Grove in Heywood.

The offence dates back to August, but details have only just been released by police. The image shows a man with short hair wearing glasses and could have been captured by a doorbell camera.

The image - and the appeal - is being shared by GMP Rochdale on their social media pages including Twitter and Facebook.

On Twitter, GMP Rochdale wrote: #CANYOUHELP | Police are looking to identify this man in connection with an attempted burglary that occurred on 16/08/22 on Lenton Grove, Heywood

"If you have more information, email 05831@gmp.police.uk quoting 2310 of 16/08/2022. Alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

No further details have been revealed.
