CCTV appeal after man 'pours petrol on front door and spray paints slur on window'

A CCTV appeal has been issued by police after a man reportedly poured petrol on a front door before spray painting a slur on the window of a house in Swinton.

Police were called to the criminal damage incident on Dell Avenue at around 7.35pm on November 15. Officers investigating this incident have followed up with 'several lines of enquiry' into the incident.

It was reported that the man doused the front door and doorstep in petrol before the slur was painted on the window of the property.

Greater Manchester Police is now asking for the public's help and has released images of a man officers want to speak to who they believe could 'assist with investigations'.

A force spokesperson added: "If you saw anything suspicious on Dell Avenue at around 7:35pm, or anyone with information, is encouraged to call 101 quoting Log 2489 of 15/11/2024.

"Alternatively, you can remain anonymous by contacting our independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
