CBC Sports to provide exclusive coverage of Rock League's inaugural season

Curling fans across Canada will soon be able to live stream the world's debut professional league come this spring.

The Rock League announced it will partner with CBC Sports to broadcast its debut season, beginning April 6, on Monday.

"We're excited to share the inaugural season of Rock League with audiences across Canada, building on the momentum and excitement of Milano Cortina 2026,” Chris Wilson, CBC's Executive Director of Sports and Olympics, said in a press release.

"CBC Sports has a long history of curling coverage, and by providing a big national platform to this innovative new league, we hope to engage and entertain an even wider audience of fans.”

CBC Sports will live stream over 40 hours of coverage on its digital platforms, including CBC Gem, cbcsports.ca and CBC Sports YouTube channel.

CBC will also live broadcast the three playoffs, semifinals and championships matches on national television.

The Rock League was launched by the Curling Group in 2025 to bring together six elite mixed-gender global franchises to compete in a condensed preview season.

The league will also showcase new formats and a modern, entertainment-forward in-venue experience.

The Rock League's first season will debut after the Milano Cortina Olympics on April 6 and run through April 12 in Toronto.

"This partnership with CBC Sports provides a national platform to introduce Rock League to Canadian fans and showcase the depth of talent competing in our inaugural season,” Nic Sulsky, CEO of The Curling Group, said.

Team rosters, formats and ticketing details are available through the Rock League's website, with event scheduling expected later this week.
