Casemiro tells new Manchester United teammates what he will add to team
Manchester United's newest signing Casemiro has vowed to give full effort in everything he does at his new club.
Although Erik ten Hag wanted to sign Frenkie de Jong this summer, the player's wage deferral with Barcelona proved too big a stumbling block in discussions. The signing of De Jong began to look increasingly unlikely and United considered their options elsewhere.
United approached Real Madrid about the possibility of signing Casemiro earlier this month and talks quickly progressed with the player indicating he was open to a move. The Brazil international was officially unveiled to supporters at Old Trafford on Monday night.

Casemiro has joined United on a four-year contract with the option of an additional year and he is Ten Hag's fourth signing of the summer. When asked to describe his qualities by United's media team he said: “That's difficult. I think I'm a player that loves to work hard.
"A player that gives everything on the pitch, but not just over 90 minutes, in training too, which for me is the most important thing. You train as you play and I think, regardless of the scoreline or what's happening on the pitch, of course everyone wants to win matches, win in training, learn in training, but I'm one of those players who wants to go home and know that I've done my job.
"So, that's my philosophy, my mentality and now it's all about giving everything for Manchester United.”
