Carol Vorderman gives 'middle finger' as she claps back at being told about 'acting her age' in fiery red gym gear display

Carol Vorderman has hit back at those who tell women to 'act their age' as she posed up a storm in firey red gym gear. The former Countdown host took to Instagram as she paraded her gym honed-figure in a variety of workout poses.

Last month, Carol headed to Portugal to follow the guidance of Jason Vale, known as the Juice Master, who owns the juice retreat where she enjoyed a stay. The 61-year-old sent fans wild when she modeled a pair of skimpy denim shorts which she said she hasn’t worn in years but has put back on after "dropping over a dress size".

She has since been continuing on with her social media displays but her latest, which saw her donning a pair of skintight leggings and a matching crop top, came with an important message.

First sharing a fitness update, Carol typed: "Been trying much more yoga and Pilates and 'learning the splits' stretching this summer.....now I’ve put it into my own routine as pure slow yoga isn’t for me, even though it’s obviously very good.

"Soooooooo just a few shots from what I now do every morning (not the whole routine)...a bit of the 5 Tibetans (a yoga thing) and adductors and abs and hamstrings all good and firing....

"I call it my… Happy Bird Who’s Not Giving In To A Number Routine." She then explained what she meant by her remark by continuing: "And to anyone who says you shouldn't do “this or that” at a certain age...and is still living in the 20th or even 19th century....please bear this in mind when you’re attempting to troll any woman no matter what their age...
