Carlos Corberan's most-feared and best-loved Huddersfield Town opponents revealed
Including the play-offs (and for the purposes of this piece will be be including play-off games, thank you very much), Carlos Corberan has been in charge of Huddersfield Town for 95 Championship games since arriving two summers ago.
With his 100th game set to be played before the end of August, it felt like an apt time to look back on how the Terriers have fared against the 29 different teams Corberan has faced as head coach.

The Terriers won both of their meetings against both seaside sides in orange last season. They ran out 0-3 winners at Bloomfield Road before winning the reverse fixture at the John Smith’s, and claimed a 2-0 home win and a 0-1 away win over Hull.
Naturally it’s the same answer as the last category (3 points per game each against Blackpool and Hull). But if we keep it to just the 17 sides Town have played in both of Corberan’s seasons in charge, then annoyingly it’s actually Nottingham Forest (1.8 points per game) – even taking the play-off final into account. Town have won three and lost two of their league meetings with Forest including their clash at Wembley.
Town have lost all four of their meetings against Bournemouth over the past two seasons, and may be glad not to see them again next season.
Unfortunately, replacing them will be Norwich, who Corberan is also winless against and who inflicted the heaviest defeat of the head coach’s reign with their 7-0 win at Carrow Road last year. Yes, it was really just last year.
