Carlos Corberan must 'choose time to gamble' for Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield Town have 45 minutes to ensure they'll be playing Premier League football next season. The Terriers are one goal down at the break after Levi Colwill directed James Garner's free-kick into the top left-hand corner of the net.

Nottingham Forest had enjoyed the majority of possession but Town had limited Steve Cooper's side to very little in terms of clear cut chances. The same could be said for Carlos Corberan's side who struggled to get out of their own half and need to find some inspiration from somewhere.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Stuart Pearce said: "For me Sarr has come out up the pitch instead of to the ball as a central defender you’ve got to be in that line opens the channel up. All of a sudden Colwill is just chasing back and you’re in trouble.

"In the main, more of the same [for Forest]. Huddersfield have not really threatened the goal aside from the set-plays. If you’re putting a team out you say don’t give free-kicks or corners away.

"But if Huddersfield come onto Forest I think that’ll suit them with the counter-attack pace. Neither team at this moment deserve to be winning."

Former Town centre-back Michael Hefele thought the opener was fortunate but claims Huddersfield need to make a change to impact the game. He said: " It’s luck or unlucky for Huddersfield. Own goal for Levi Colwill, such a good young player, I’m sad for him. It is what it is, you have a big second half and you can turn it around.

" Maybe a change now or in the next 15 minutes, there’s a different plan for the second half. You’ve got to ride it out now.

Jobi McAnuff said: "The timing of his run and leap, it’s a great delivery just doesn’t quite direct it to the back post. It’s something Huddersfield have to be wary of."
