Carlos Alcaraz and Elena Rybakina backed for Indian Wells-Miami Open Sunshine Double by Martina Navratilova

Martina Navratilova has backed Carlos Alcaraz and Elena Rybakina to complete the 'Sunshine Double' as both players look to add Miami Open titles to their respective Indian Wells triumphs. Alcaraz dispatched Daniil Medvedev in impressive fashion to claim the former earlier in the month and faces Tommy Paul in the fourth round in Miami after breezing through the first two rounds. Ad Rybakina triumphed at Indian Wells after beating Aryna Sabalenka in the final and is into the quarter-finals of the Miami Open after beating Elise Martins to set up a match with Martina Trevisan.

»They both have a shot at it, they are the players to beat. Rybakina is in form and healthy." US Open winner Alcaraz looks back to something approaching his blistering best after missing the start of the year through injury, something that hasn't gone unnoticed by Navatilova. «Now healthy, I don't know how he fixed that leg but he did and he's looking very, very sharp,» she said.

«Every match is a Wimbledon final to him. He is fired up the same way for every single match and he's in there. I just look forward to watching great matches.» Sabalenka hails 'amazing performance' as she downs Krejcikova, Andreescu pulls out 'That's the truth' — Nadal shoots down reports of Monte Carlo comeback Auger-Aliassime crashes out as Cerundolo produces more Miami magic
