Cardiff City's search for a new manager is set to roll into another day, and there's little sign of an imminent breakthrough.

The Bluebirds aren't in action again until their trip to Hull City on February 4, but the need for a new boss in the hot-seat is still pretty pressing, particularly with transfer deadline day looming on the horizon. Defeat to Millwall has left the Bluebirds in serious relegation danger, meaning the Cardiff hierarchy simply cannot afford to get their next move wrong.

Sam Allardyce remains the bookies' favourite for the top job, along with fellow veteran boss Neil Warnock, while former West Brom and Barnsley man Valerien Ismael has his admirers within the corridors of power at Cardiff City Stadium. On Monday afternoon ex-Nottingham Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi also came into the equation, while the likes of Dean Smith and Neil Lennon have also entered the running with the bookies.
