Cardiff Airport incident sees aircraft go off the runway as flight diverted - live updates

Flights to Cardiff Airport have been disrupted after a plane went off the runway on Sunday afternoon. The airport said its airfield was closed for nearly an hour after a light aircraft had an incident on landing resulting in it going off the end of the runway.

Cardiff Airport said no injuries were sustained and there was no damage to the aircraft. The Department for Transport and Air Accidents Investigation Branch were notified and the runway reopened at 2.30pm after the aircraft was moved to safety.

One Wizz Air flight has been diverted to Bristol and there are some minor delays to operations at the airport this afternoon.
